Sponsors

Sponsorship allows local businesses to show their support of the FLHA. In turn sponsors are recognized in a number of ways throughout the year in our community.

Money provided by team sponsors is allocated to the Hockey Association’s general fund so all of our players can benefit. From the general fund, expenses such as FLHA provided equipment (FLHA goalie equipment, water bottles, pucks, and first aid kits), Mite level ice bills and a portion of the team jerseys and socks bills are paid.

Sponsors may request to have their business name displayed on the back of a specific team’s jersey. (First come, first served). When a travel team solicits their own sponsor, $150 of the sponsorship funds are credited directly to the team. To receive the benefits of a tax deduction form from FLHA, and other associated sponsorship benefits, the funds received must at least in part benefit the entire association. Private donations (which can be entirely team specific) are appreciated and encouraged, but are not considered FLHA sponsorships.
